This is an excellent course for the college bound student, as it qualifies as a high school level elective credit. Yearbook production is the main goal from Sept-Feb. Students can expect assignments and duties to extend beyond the allocated class time including, but not limited to, the following: photography assignments, theme developments, story ideas, organizing the sale and distribution of the yearbook, advertising sales, completion of computer pages, as well as establishing and meeting and publication deadlines.

Grades are based upon the effort and quality of completed work, the quality completion of individual and group assignments and meeting the staff established deadline schedule. Failure to meet deadline results in the deduction of one letter grade.

CTC standards and expectations take precedence. Students must maintain the integrity and secrecy of the publication. While individual work is necessary, working as a team is also essential.

Attendance and punctuality to class and to all deadlines is paramount.
