This course is a comprehensive survey of United States history, intended to give the junior high student a solid foundation of knowledge about the heritage of this country. We will cover a chapter per week. Students will read the chapter and answer questions as homework. Parents should plan to help students with weekly Chapter Reviews. In class we will discuss the major concepts and events in the assigned chapter, play learning games or watch pertinent videos. There will be weekly tests which may be in class or take-home. Students will write 2 biographical reports during the year. Students may be added mid-year.
