This course is a comprehensive survey of United States history, intended to give the junior high student a solid foundation of knowledge about the heritage of this country.  We will cover a chapter per week.  Students will read the chapter and answer questions as homework. Parents should plan to help students with weekly Chapter Reviews. In class we will discuss the major concepts and events in the assigned chapter, play learning games or watch pertinent videos.  There will be weekly tests which may be in class or take-home.  Students will write 2 biographical reports during the year.  Students may be added mid-year.

This class is a survey of world history from Creation to the Birth of America. Due to the amount of material that must be covered,

at least, 75% of each class will be lecture. Students will be covering approximately one half of a chapter per week.  Students will be required to read assigned pages and answer the section review and chapter questions for homework.  Classes will also include review, discussion, and videos. Projects and reports will also be assigned.  Supply fee includes copies, notebook, dividers, transparencies, and videos.

The first semester of this class is a survey of Oklahoma history from creation to modern times. There is no textbook, so students will be required to take notes and do worksheets. The second semester will be an overview of American Government.  Students will be covering one chapter per week.  Students will be required to read assigned pages, answer chapter questions, and complete worksheets for homework.  Both classes will be, at least, 75% lecture, but will include discussion.  There will also be projects, reports, tests and quizzes assigned in each class.  Supply fee includes copies, notebook, dividers, transparencies, and videos.
