We'll miss you, Shanan!

After more than 2 years of faithful service, we had to wish our own Shanan Anthony goodbye.  Her computer genius, organization skills and her ability to keep everyone working to achieve their best,  Shanan is moving with her husband to the other side of the country.  We will miss her greatly.  Never forget, God is good and you are blessed and highly favored everywhere you go.  We love you, Shanan.    :-)

Tutor: Amy Rodgers Email: Grades: 3-12 Class Limit: 6-12 Time: Tuesdays 1:30PM-2:50PM  This class will focus on obtaining lifelong physical fitness skills while building and utilizing team and leadership skills. Being fit is much more than how far you can run, or how many push-ups you can do. There will be a strong emphasis on goal setting, nutrition, and defining what being physically fit means to the student as an individual. There will be units dedicated to team sports such as basketball, and soccer, as well as units focusing on personal fitness, what and how we eat, and ultimate fitness. We will have competitions with ourselves, as well as with the group. As an instructor, in order to attain lifelong fitness, I believe exercise has to be something you can do anywhere, and most of all have fun while doing it.
Tutor: Tiffany Griffin Email: Grades: 9-12 Class Limit: 7-10 Time: Thursdays 2:55PM-4:15PM  In this course, students will use Jostens Yearbook Avenue online program to learn sound design principles and skills needed to produce the annual school yearbook for CTC. In addition, yearbook is an excellent course for the college-bound student as it qualifies as a high school level English/writing or elective credit. Students will receive guided instruction in the fundamentals of journalistic writing, journalism, graphic design, budget management, and organizational skills necessary to produce the yearbook. Students can expect assignments and duties to occasionally extend beyond the allocated class time as necessary to meet publication deadlines.
