2/26/08Graduation Meeting Summary

 

  

1.      Photographer, Aaron Steel, was available for questions and presented the options available for photographs.  The group chose Package “A”.  This includes one 8x10 of the group and one 5x7 of the student receiving their diploma.  Budget was increase to $185/family to cover this expense.  Additional photos will be available for sale through Aaron Steele’s website at www.aaronsteelephotography.com

 

2.      No new families were present.

 

3.      Budget discussion

Each committee confirmed that they are able to work within the budget as proposed.

      For 28 students the amounts are:

CTC Adm fee----$ 710

Program-----------$1700 (facility rental is 1200)

Reception---------$ 400

Video---------------$1600

Photography------$ 420 (includes two photos/family)

Diplomas-----------$ 280

Meeting copies----$  90

Total cost-----------$5,200   (28 x $185=$5,180)

 

4.       Deadline was announced for turning in photos for the video.  Please turn in photos to Mr. Boyd no later than 2:00pm on Thursday, February 28th

 

5.      Contract with Garnett Church of Christ was discussed.  Please communicate all needs to Susan  (please do not call the church to make requests).

 

6.      Committee reports

Music: Elizabeth Brown, Rene’ Moore

Other items discussed: Red roses for Moms, blue and silver balloons

20 rectangle and 10 round tables needed

Silver tablecloths needed (to cover all tables

Renting punch fountains

Requested each family to bring 4 doz. Cookies in disposable containers    

            on May 10th

7.      No meeting in March

 

8.      An email will be sent out when cap and gowns are available for pickup.

 

9.      The services committee collected payments.  Each family’s payments should total $185

 

10.   Families were asked to check their diploma order (student name, school name).

 

11.  Service committee passed out Josten’s orders to each family (if paid in full).

 

12.  Thank you to the families responsible for setting up the room tonight and also cleaning up after the meeting.

 

13.  Last meeting: Tuesday, April 22----THIS is a MANDATORY meeting.  All families must have someone in attendance (Preferably one parent and the senior)
