Registration
1. How many
weeks does each class meet?
All classes meet for 30 weeks unless otherwise noted in the class catalog.
2. How many days a week does each class meet?
Some classes meet 1 time per week; others meet 2 times per week.
3. Are there any holidays or vacations built into the schedule?
Yes. Thanksgiving week, three weeks for Christmas holiday, and two weeks
for spring break.
4. Can I enroll my student for second semester?
Some classes offer mid-year enrollment. Contact the CTC office at 664-9527
for more information.
5. What financial commitments are required
for the academic program?
A non-refundable application fee for NEW students (one
time), a non-refundable registration fee (one-time),
supply fee (varies by class), operational fees (9 payments), and tutorial
fees (9 payments).
6. When are the registration fees due for the academic program?
At the time of registration, a one-time registration fee is due. $80/student
(max. $280/ returning family). A fee of $100/student will be due if registering
after scheduled registration dates.
7. When are the supply fees due for the academic program?
Supply fees, which vary by class, are due on July 9th or at the time of
registration after July 9th.
8. What financial payment plans are available?
Tutor and operational fees can be paid in 9 installments, or fees can
be paid for the whole year, or broken down into 8 or less payments.
9. How is CTC different than a traditional
school?
CTC is like a college for home schooled students. Families pick and choose
the subjects they want their students to take here at CTC. Classes meet
one or two days a week. Parents then supervise work that needs to be completed
on the other days of the week.
10. Is CTC a non-profit organization?
Yes, CTC is a 501c3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
11. How is the CTC organization structured?
CTC is governed by a board of directors. Everyday operations are completed
by the administrative team.
12. Do the tutors provide student evaluations?
Yes. The tutors will provide 2 evaluations (one for each semester), and
progress reports between the 7th and 9th week of each semester.
13. Does CTC provide transcripts or keep records of students'
grades?
No. CTC does not keep records of any kind. Families are responsible for
keeping records and transcripts.
14. What volunteer hours are required by each FAMILY?
Each family must volunteer for 3 hours per class taken, or a maximum of
9 hours per family. There are numerous ways for members of your family
to fulfill your volunteer service requirements.
15. Can a student bring a visitor to class?
No. To provide the most safe and secure atmosphere for our students, only
CTC parents are allowed on campus.
16. What about lunch?
CTC's lunch program on Tuesday and Thursday is provided by vendors. Lunches
cost from $3 to $5 and must be ordered by 10am. Lunch is not provided
on Wednesday. We do have a refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven available
to all students on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
17. Does CTC provide graduation services?
CTC facilitates a graduation ceremony for home schooled students in which
parents can present a graduation diploma to their student. CTC is not
an accredited high school program, and we do not keep student records
or transcripts. Therefore, CTC cannot issue diplomas. Our graduation ceremony
is open to all home school families. More information can be found at

18. When can families enroll their
students for 2009-2010 classes?
After, April 15, 2009, student applications and step-by-step enrollment
directions will be available online at www.ctctulsa.org/registration.html.
CTC will accept applications after April 15, 2009. Fill out the application

19. Do all families have to attend orientation meetings?
Yes. Returning CTC families and new families must attend orientation before
registering for classes.
20. Are all families required to have interviews with the administrative
staff?
New families are required to have an interview before registering for
classes. Interviews are not required for returning families unless
requested by the administrative staff.
