This is a beginning class designed for one who has a love to draw and enjoys designing clothes and interiors.  First semester will be Fashion Illustration and second semester will be Interior Design.  We will design 10 major projects using various media that is used in the industry.  First semester, each student will write a report having to do with the history of fashion and present it to the class with a fashion drawing reflecting that era.  Second semester, each student will design a dream home exterior and interior layouts and build a miniature room in a box.  The furniture and accessories will be made and found to complete the project.  Art supplies will be for classroom use.  Some homework will be required according to the project.  The students will show some of their work in the school art show twice a year.

The first semester of this class is based on the book The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens, as well as, other Christian life skills books. This class will help teens improve their self-image, build friendships, resist peer pressure, achieve goals, get along with parents, and move toward becoming successful Christian adults.  The second semester will cover the process of Communication, Listening, Building Confidence in Speaking, and different types of speeches.  As communication skills and poise are important characteristics to achieve success, students will be required to compose and deliver several speeches during the course of the semester.  There will be homework, and some projects. Supply fees will cover handouts, transparencies, videos, notebooks, and dividers.
